Who looks after your data

Simple Ink SRL, the company behind LovePress, is responsible for how we use your personal data. Our address is Strada Consecvenței, Nr. 84, Sector 5, București, România, 051424; VAT number RO45431992. Contact hi@thelove.press, or write to that address, for privacy questions and requests.

What we collect

You give us most of this data directly. We also receive payment updates from Stripe and production or delivery updates from Peecho and its partners. A purchaser may provide someone else’s photos or a gift recipient’s name and address.

Why we use it

We need the order, photo and address details to make and deliver your book. If essential information is missing, we cannot complete it.

Do not upload identity documents, sensitive medical information, intimate images or material that other people reasonably expect to remain confidential. The person ordering should have the right to share the material and any necessary permission. Please share this notice with people whose photos or delivery details you give us. For photos of children, involve their parent or guardian.

Who helps us make your book

We give providers the information needed for their part of the order:

Authorised LovePress staff may view book content to handle a revision, quality issue or support request. We may share relevant records with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or claims.

Your order files are private, and access to your order page uses a private link. Anyone who has that link may be able to open your photos and proof, so please keep it safe.

We do not sell your photos or use them as public examples or advertising without asking you separately. Ordering does not sign you up to marketing emails.

AI and international processing

AI turns your photos into illustrations; it does not mean that the result will reproduce every detail. We use your approval to decide which book to print. If an automated error prevents your order from progressing, contact us for a person to review it.

Our providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their published data-processing terms include mechanisms such as European Commission standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, recognised adequacy arrangements. You can ask us for the safeguards relevant to your order. We do not promise that all processing takes place in the EU or that provider retention is zero.

How long we keep it

We keep information for the purpose it was collected, rather than indefinitely:

We may keep only the records necessary for an ongoing dispute or another legal requirement for longer. Records held by a provider acting for its own legal purposes follow its own retention rules; payment records and provider safety logs are not necessarily deleted when we delete your book files.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or receive a portable copy of your data, restrict processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent for a future optional use, you can withdraw it. We may need to verify that a request comes from the right person.

Contact us by email or post. We normally respond within one month; if a legally permitted extension is needed, we explain it within that month. A request to remove information still needed for an unfinished order may mean we need to cancel it. We will explain that before proceeding.

You may complain to Romania’s ANSPDCP or the data protection authority where you live or work. You do not have to contact us first to use that right.

Changes

We update this policy when our services or data practices change. The date above shows the latest version. We tell you about material changes affecting an active order where required.
